    Description

    This is a pre-owned custom made maker marked sterling silver circle shank bit with a cricket roller port made in 1992 by S.B. Grant of the Northwest USA. This handmade bit has a circle style loose cheek steel shanks which are overlaid with sterling silver engraved plate and include a rafter "H" brand in the center of the circle. The slightly tipped angle of the port adds more tongue relief and the curved sweet iron mouthpiece encourages salivation for a soft responsive mouth. This bit has a 2-1/2 inch purchase for faster response and control of the shoulders and stabilization of the front end with a 3.2 to 1 leverage ratio. The shanks measure 8 inches long and the mouthpiece is 5 inches wide by 3/8 inch dia with a 1-1/2 inch high by 1-1/2 inch wide port. This bit weighs 1 pound 1 ounce.

    This is an awesome pre-owned custom made maker marked sterling silver circle shank vaquero bit with a medium cricket roller port made in 1992 by S.B. Grant of the Northwest USA.
    This amazing hand made bit features circle style loose cheek steel shanks which are overlaid with sterling silver engraved plate and include a rafter "H" brand in the center of the circle.  The bit has some light rusting as is typical of iron bits with no damage to the silver overlays.  The medium high
    port allows pressure on areas of the mouth without increased leverage or "bite" and
    the cricket roller acts as a pacifier for the horse.
    The bit is marked 1992 (the year it was made) on the inside upper right cheek, and S.B. Grant for the maker on the inside upper left cheek as shown in the photos.
