Antique Japanese Ichimatsu Gofun Doll Paper Clothes 8" Glass Eyes

There is something electric about this guy! He looks like he just pulled a joke on you! He is at least 100 years old with cloth floppy thighs and upper arms. The gofun (a think covering of crushed oyster shell) has peeled on his nose and his hands and feet are missing the definition they once had-most likely through handling. His skin is pink with some mottling. He has glass eyes and a painted mouth. His hair is most likely real hair. The oddest thing is the clothing. It is made of paper. Definitely an Asian print. I didn't dare take it off as it is very delicate and already torn in some places. I will leave that up to the buyer. There is a rope around his neck! I did not clean him-I will leave that up to you. There is nothing signed so I cannot say anything about his manufacturer. There are some with a similar look but the paper clothes are one of a kind. Please ask any questions you may have before buying.
