The model has been displayed in my non-smoking, adult only home since I purchased him at BreyerFest 1996 and had him signed by artist Bonnie Shields.
He is signed and dated 7/27/96 on his belly.
The model can be a bit tippy but does stand.
There are a couple of black marks on his rump and a slightly light spot of his right rear hip.
There also seems to be a factory fault on his right cheek. The book is NEW CONDITION.

I am a huge Marguerite Henry fan and when the new model and book were announced in 1996, I was thrilled.
Mrs. Henry was 94 years old.
I already had a fairly complete collection of her books with many signed and first editions.
They were all displayed with the Breyer models that represented them.
I purchased the model at BreyerFest and had him signed.
The book was published later that fall and I purchased a copy as soon as it was available.
The book and model joined my collection in my living room since that year.
Brown Sunshine is a sorrel with lighter mane and tail, legs and belly.
He has dark grey / black hooves.
The book is the story of Molly who wanted a beautiful horse.
Her father bought an older, underfed Thoroughbred mare at an auction for himself.
They weren’t aware she was pregnant and when she had a foal everyone was surprised that he was a mule.
It is a story about how a dubious surprise becomes a much loved and prizewinning family member.
