Description

This is a genuine Saeco Gran Crema espresso machine. I first purchased this about 12 years ago and used it daily for about five years. Usage dwindled as I had to cut caffeine out and now it has been virtually unused for some time so I’d like to re-home it to another espresso lover.
The Gran Crema has beautiful Art Deco styling with chrome accents, a frosted-finish water tank and looks great on the countertop.
It’s also quite compact measuring in at only 9.75 in W x 9.75 in D x 12.25 in H making it very efficient to fit under cabinets and on small countertops.
Machine needs a descale and flush before use but it should be otherwise good to go. Like all Italian espresso makers of this kind, it has a real pressure pump and occasionally when it gets too hot or if you run it dry, it’ll seize. But if you just shut it off and wait for it to cool, often the pressure releases quickly and it’s good to go again in a couple hours.
Two small aesthetic flaws visible in the last two pictures:
There’s a smear on the top, on the chrome finish of the curved accent. It’s not visible unless you stand right over the machine (which you can’t do when it’s under a cabinet) but it’s there.
And on the side with the steam wand, the wand once was engaged accidentally while folded under the machine, and the steam left a very slight discoloring and tarnishing of the plastic frame, I’ve kept the machine in a corner where that wasn’t visible and had actually forgotten about it until I pulled it out and cleaned it off to prepare for sale. It doesn’t effect function at all.
