This is an awesome pre-owned unmarked sterling silver blued steel shank vaquero bit with a copper Salinas cricket roller port.  This amazing hand made bit features unusual style loose cheek blue steel shanks which are overlaid with sterling silver engraved plate.  The bit has some light rusting as is typical of iron bits with no damage to the silver overlays.  The medium high
port allows pressure on areas of the mouth without increased leverage or "bite" and
the cricket roller acts as a pacifier for the horse.
The slightly tipped angle of the port adds more tongue relief and the curved sweet iron mouthpiece encourages salivation for a soft responsive mouth.  This bit has a 2-3/4 inch purchase for faster response and excellent lift for control of the shoulders and stabilization of the front end with a 2.9 to 1 leverage ratio.  The shanks measure 8 inches long and the mouthpiece measures 5 inches wide by 3/8 inch in diameter with a 1-1/2 inch high by 2 inch wide port.  This is a fairly heavy bit that weighs in at 1 pound 6 ounces for great control and response.
