    Description

    VINTAGE ORNATE CHINESE DOLL OF A NOBLE DYNASTY'S
    PRINCE OR PRIEST, HANDMADE IN CHINA, 1950'S
    Here is a handsome doll in a stunning, richly embroidered outfit. Accessories consist of
    a frog mask in the center, elevated platform shoes, and a tall hat with flower antennas. The head, hands and feet are painted ceramic.
    The attention to detail is amazing:
    s
    equins, silvery cut-outs, various trims... even when you lift up the heavy robe, you'll notice a pair of red bloomers underneath. And the hair looks very real!
    There are hands hiding in the wide sleeves, and the hole in them suggests that they once carried an object like a spear or other weapon.
    The doll is 13 inches tall, and is in good vintage condition. The shoes have lost a tiny bit of paint, and the fabric is a bit crumpled, but it is an impressive imperial doll.
